Myntauktioner i Sverige AB is a limited company wholly owned by the the Swedish Numismatic Society. It was set up in the spring of 2009.

The company hold at least two international quality auctions per year, the purpose being to generate an economic surplus for the use of the Swedish Numismatic Society. Funds go to scientific activities, the publication of numismatic literature and other activities that promote the development of numismatics.
The Swedish Numismatic Society arranged coin auctions for over 80 years and now Myntauktioner i Sverige AB is carrying on that tradition. Our operations continue to be based on the vast experience and expertise of the Society’s members.

All buyers and vendors who use our services contribute to numismatic research in Sweden and at the same time have access to a professional auction house.

Dan Carlberg is the company’s CEO. He represents the company and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. At the auctions or other functions extra staff members or experts in numismatics are called in.

The board of Myntauktioner i Sverige AB consists of representatives of the Swedish Numismatic Society as well as leading representatives from the spheres of numismatics and business. The members are currently as follows: Per-Erik Andersson, Chairman, Bengt Granath, member of the board (who in his capacity as chairman of the Board of the Numismatic Society’s serves as the shareholders’ representative), Bernt Thelin, member of the board, Anders Nordin, member of the board, and Magnus Wijk, deputy member.
